For almost 30 years, Toyota Classics has brought classical music enthusiasts together to enthral, entertain and enlighten them with some of the world’s most renowned soloists, conductors and orchestras. Toyota Classics is UMW Toyota Motor’s CSR initiative to enrich the lives of the community through philanthropic activities and the proceeds from this performance will be donated to deserving organisations.

The 30th Anniversary edition of Toyota Classics presents the London Chamber Orchestra (LCO) from United Kingdom, featuring Christopher Warren-Green as conductor and Lucienne Renaudin Vary as trumpet soloist. Having been founded in 1921, LCO is UK’s oldest professional chamber orchestra. They’ve premiered works by a Who’s Who of 20th-century composers, including Stravinsky, Bloch, Vaughan Williams, Prokofiev, Hindemith, Poulenc and Villa Lobos. And that continues today, with premieres by figures such as Sir Peter Maxwell Davies, James MacMillan and Graham Fitkin. The Orchestra also tour globally, record with major labels and their own LCO Live imprint, and run a large-scale community project, Music Junction.

Christopher Warren-Green has worked extensively with various orchestras in North America and the Far East. During the 2018/19 season, he led the London Chamber Orchestra in an eclectic season including music by Mozart, Mendelssohn, Suk, Dvořák Roxanna Panufnik and both Sergei and Gabriel Prokofiev. The British maestro has also conducted previously for the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, Orchestre National de Belgique, Beethoven Orchester Bonn and Iceland Symphony amongst others. In addition to his key engagements, Mr Warren-Green is a key figure in the LCO’s education and outreach project, Music Junction.

Winner of the ‘Révélation’ category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2016, French trumpeter Lucienne Renaudin Vary has been described as a “trumpet sensation” by Classical KDFC. As a Warner artist, she released her first album in autumn 2017, The Voice of the Trumpet, in collaboration with Orchestre National de Lille and Rolando Villazón. Her second album, Demoiselle in New York, recorded with the BBC Concert Orchestra under Bill Elliott, will be released in autumn 2019.
