MPYO PROGRAMS

MPYO programs was prepared to nurture the young musicians with world standard musicianship under the tutelage of Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra’s resident conductors; Naohisa Furusawa and Harish Shankar and the in-house MPO musicians as tutors with selection of various artists and soloist for the concerts. They meet up throughout the season for centralized sectionals and intensive trainings during three major camps in March, June and December tentatively. Special projects and tour are additional programs that offer the extra mile in wonderful learning experience for the MPYO members as they are required to perform various genres of music ranging from Malay traditional to pop classical music comprehensively. Their ability to deliver the world-class classical repertoire and tap in to different styles and range of music was proven and this remarkable versatility is one of their core strengths as the best youth orchestra in Malaysia.
