SCHOOL CONCERTS

Encounter’s in-house activities are at the heart of all the MPO’s education programmes orbiting around Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS. These programmes are very much hands on and interactive for the serious minded among us who like serious fun!

These concerts are designed for students and their teachers to get to know more about classical music. Have fun while learning about music in these specially created concerts. Our School Concerts are offered in two sessions on the same day, you can choose either Session 1 (10.00am) or Session 2 (12.30pm).

The featured work is Saint-Saëns’ Carnival of the Animals in which he depicts the mighty roars of the lion (a little scary!), lumbering elephants, onagers (fastest horses in the world), a graceful swan and much more. Beyond Saint-Saëns’ Carnival, we also encounter a bumble bee, a funny dog, a magical firebird, and other fascinating creatures of the animal world. Great fun for the entire family!
