Continuing its exploration of the violin’s rich melodies, the MPO now turns its attention to the lushness of Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1. Featuring violinist Bomsori Kim experience the blending of deep emotions with technical sophistication, under the baton of Jaume Santoja. The concert opens with Schumann’s Manfred Overture, a brooding and darkly impassioned work that is melodramatic, yet justly known. Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances concludes the performance on a high note with dance and waltz coming in rhythms.
