Grzegorz Curyła is one of the most prominent Polish horn players of young generation. Graduated from the Royal Academy of Music in London and the University of Music in Wroclaw, he holds two master’s degrees in music.
He has performed with the London Sinfonietta, Watford Symphony Orchestra, Zermatt Festival Orchestra, the BBC, Royal, Qatar, Berlin and Seoul Philharmonics, BBC Symphony, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Konzerthaus Orchester Berlin, Welsh National Opera Orchestra, RTE Dublin Radio Symphony, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Orquesta Sinfonica de Galicia, the Sydney and Melbourne Symphony Orchestras, and major orchestras in Poland.
He won his first professional orchestra trial for the co-principal horn position with the prestigious London Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since 2015, he is the principal horn of the MPO and plays Alexander 103 horn.
In 2017, he was awarded with an honour as Associate of the Royal Academy of Music.
Grzegorz will perform with the MPO in Mozart Horn Concertos concert conducted by Naohisa Furusawa.
