From towering waves to the delicate dance of flickering lights, the sensory world of the sea becomes music in these symphonic masterworks. Debussy’s brilliant and atmospheric La Mer depicts the ever-changing sea through an Impressionist lens. Rimsky Korsakov weaves together episodes from The Arabian Nights, from Sinbad’s seafaring adventures to Scheherazade’s captivating stories- told through beguiling solo violin melodies featuring MPO Concertmaster Peter Daniš.
